Once again Sha-chan and I met up in Jeuno.
I had to speak to a young elvaan boy named Baudin before we could head out. He wanted Coeurl Meat, which I thought was odd. Then I met his sister!
It's one thing for a Galka to eat raw red meat. Even I can enjoy raw fish from time to time, but Elvaan typically are more... refined?
I suppose it was the way she devoured it that put me off.
Sha-chan and I rode chocobo's out to Davoi. Once inside I had to maintain sneak and invisible enchantments until we got to the Wall of Dark Arts, which looked like some sort of magical enchantment itself.
Of course two Orc's were guarding the wall. Sha-chan took them on while I safely passed through the magical veil.
Unfortunately the two Orc's were too much even for brave Protector Puppeteer! I tried in vein to to cure him, but he was taking more damage then my simple Cure II spell could repair. I had to run into the Monastic Cavern to avoid the same fate as poor Shagrath.
Just as he was knocked out, a Beastmaster happened by and offered to raise. The only problem with that was he did not have enough mana to even cast the spell! I offered to hand over my Silver Hairpin and Friar's Rope to give the Beastmaster a mana boost and it was just enough!
Also... I was not prepared for how incredibly CUTE this Beastmaster was! I wanted to pet him! He wore a tunic type top made of some sort of fur and a hat with super cute ram horns on it! Oh I wanted to just hug and cuddle him! He also had a crab named Courier Carrie that followed him around.
It was so hard to resist touching the tunic, but I did until he returned my hairpin and belt to me. When Sha-chan was safely behind the Wall of Dark Arts I did quickly pet the Beastmaster's top and mention why I was possessed to do such a rude rude thing.
I scampered off, blushing as I thanked him for being so kind and went to rest beside Sha-chan.
Once we passed into the Cavern, it was a straight and easy run to the magicite!
Of course I snapped a few pictures. I liked this area more then the Alter room. It was kind of foggy, but had an interesting peacefulness.
I did wonder what exactly had blown a gaping hole in the wall inside... It looked just like a part of one of the telepoint crags. Very odd...
