My months and months of training had come to this.
I had already obtained Exoray Mold while training in the Crawler's Nest.
As well as Ancient Papyrus while traveling through The Eldieme Necropolis.
Sha-chan had taken me through the past and back again for the Bomb Coal.
Finally the time had come to have my first chat with the infamous Maat.
Has my innocence been destroyed? Can I no longer claim it once this is done?
True, I have learned much in all my adventures thus far.
It feels like I haven't learned enough.
Not yet.
As I strode toward the old man, thoughts of my bout with Mishi came to mind.
Thoughts of hours upon hours of training with Shagrath, Ghrenn, Mishi and so many others.
Then thoughts of my many mistakes. Casting on the wrong thing, causing Eden and myself to be knocked out in Jugner Forest.
Forgetting to put up one enchantment or the other and catching the eye or ear of various beastmen or demons.
Not knowing I can not sleep bats...
It has all led to this.
I tapped Maat on the shoulder. He turned, and looked me up and down. Scrutinizing.
He told me of how he's trained most of the adventurer's at one time or another. That I had a long way to go.
To prove my virtue he asked for the items that I already possessed.
Promptly, I thrust out my hands and let the satchel fall open to expose the items inside.
With a grunt and a squint to prevent his shock, Maat took the items and gave me the title:
Horizon Breaker
