Bangs palm against forehead...
Writers block... bane of my existence!
Ahh no! I'm staring at this blank page and I can't write!
Start with, "The very esteemed and humble Hanataru made things so great for me today..."
/think
The very esteemed and humble Hanataru made things so great for me today...
No wait- Well, he did, but that was later.
When I awoke, once again refreshed, I got word about a Notorious Monster that carried a wand that would be very beneficial to Black Mage training.
Nunyenunc, a bird that would show up if you slew a few if his brother Carrion Crows.
I dressed Red Mage and headed out to the area that was circled on the map I had been sent.
Altana was on my side because I only killed one Crow before I spied Nunyenunc!
I shot an arrow at him, which really ticked him off as it just nicked his wing.
This bird hit a little harder then the others, but was nothing I couldn't handle!
Paralize! Dia!
Blind!
The Nunyenunc resists the spell.
Heh, that's fine you silly bird.
Aero! Fire! Water!
After a well timed Burning Blade and another round of elemental spells, I was rewarded with a pretty new Pilgram's Wand! =D
It was time to train Black Mage for support on training of White and Red mage. Once again I headed out to Sarutabaruta.
Things went faster this time around because I also used the training regimen.
Black Mage was level 10 in no time! =D
Just as I was about to head to Giddeus in order to get my paws on more yagudo necklaces, I got word from Protector Puppeteer!
He asked if I still wanted to go to Jeuno.
Of course! The big city! How exciting! I knew the road there might be dangerous, but I had Protector Puppeteer to watch out for me. No worries!
He told me his brother, who was an experienced Dragoon, was busy, but he had enlisted the aid of another Red Mage because some of the monsters would be too fierce even for Protector Puppeteer.
While I was dressing Red Mage, Protector Puppeteer told me he had a yagudo necklace and some silk thread to give me.
Okay, come on over!
Heh, all right.
Well- not just yet, I'm not fully dressed!
After all, I had to try to look nice for the big city!
Or do you mean for Mister Protector Puppet Master, Kiamo?!?!?!? Kupieieieepopopo!!!
SARIMA!! /angry
Okay. Ready! Come on in.
Wow it's kind of empty in here.
Well... yes. I would like to get a table for my plant. And a desk for my stationary set. It's just on the floor in the corner over there. /blush
Yeah, that would be good. Heh, I shouldn't talk. My mog house is totally empty. Here's that necklace and silk.
Oh thanks! Hmm... That's some top you have on there.
Yeah...
Check out her PAINTING Puppet Master!!!
Sarima...
What paintin--?
Ah, Nothing!!! Aheheehe... Let's go! I don't want to keep that Red Mage waiting!!!
We met up at Leviathan's Gate and the two men and I headed out.
As we were walking, we chatted about what I would need to obtain a Chocobo License and decided to farm a type of fly that carried the grass that I would need to win over the Chocobo's affection.
I wondered if these flies congregated near Dhalmel dung.
This caused my companions to chuckle. I later found out why.
The flies that carry the special grass were big, more like a dragon fly then the tiny thing I had pictured.
They are nasty too! They kept inflicting poison on the group, and after taking out about 6 or so of them, we were ready to just continue to Jeuno.
I took a photo as we were resting after one of the battles.

I saw some amazing sights along the way. The first of which was a gigantic-- spine I guess? It seemed to stretch all the way across the landscape and simply hover in midair. I couldn't help but stop and stare.
And take a photo!

As we traversed through Sauromugue Champaign, I saw signs of what seemed like epic destruction.
Pillars broken across the path. Towers in utter ruin. Walls torn asunder. The trees looked as though they had been singed time and time again by an ancient magic, forever blackened and doomed to a shell of their former lives. Serving as a warning to passerby.
The wind whipped up and threw dirt-dust all around. Or was it the ashes of those who had perished as a result of whatever war worked its way through here in years past?
I ran a little closer to the Red Mage, Hanataru, having lost sight of Protector Puppeteer.
This place reeked of disaster and I was afraid of what enemies might surprise us.
It turned out that Protector Puppeteer took a different route and he met up with us closer to Jeuno.
Home free!!
We entered Port Jeuno and a pretty waltz met my ears.
So much to see! So many people moving about! The Shops! The Airships!
And there are four big sections of city to explore!
I was bowled over with so many things touching my senses I forgot for a moment that the whole point of coming was for the Chocobo License!
Protector Puppeteer quickly reminded me.
He also purchased the necessary grass for me.
You didn't have to do that...
It's ok, I'm not hurting for gil.
I hugged him in thanks and blushed. What else could I do? So silly...
I headed to the Chocobo Stables in Upper Jeuno and spoke to a man wearing a salmon colored, (too-tight for his bulging belly) shirt.
After that, the stable boy Osker, explained that the birds take time to get used to you.
I also found out that the one they wanted me to get to come around had been abused.
What a task!
I gently offered the Chocobo to nibble grass from my hand, speaking softly of nothing in particular.
Chocobo was having none of it!
My companions explained that it would take a few tries and that, in the meantime, we could go to "the dunes" and train.
I happily agreed and Protector Puppeteer got a Mage to take us to Teleport-Dem.
From there we ran to Valkurm Dunes.
This was my first "real" party experience. Boy, it sure was hectic.
Two people tried to pull and they ended up having to run out so the Lizards wouldn't kill us all.
It was kind of hectic, trying to enfeeble and cure, but I think I got the hang of it. I also had help with this task from a Scholar.
Eventually, my eyelids became heavy and I just didn't want to get up to cure or anything!
It had been such a long day. I could have passed out right there in the white sand.
Luckily, Protector Puppeteer shook me awake and sent me back to Jeuno. He was equally as tired. The party leader found replacements for both of us and I was glad for that, not wanting to leave them high and dry so to speak! Hehe.
I don't quite remember how I got back to Jeuno from Valkurm Dunes. But I did remember I needed to check up on the abused Chocobo!
She was still skittish, so I went up to Ru'Lude Gardens to watch the sun rise. So beautiful... and so HIGH UP! It was as though I was walking through the clouds, which was all I could see when I peered over the great white walls.
I stayed there for a while, practicing my bar-spells.
Then I wandered around the shops of Upper and Lower Jeuno.
One shop even had Goblins in it! I remembered my companions telling me those were friendly ones. Still, it was odd seeing them peddling their wares and not chasing after me wielding a weapon!
I checked in on Chocobo again and she seemed to be warming up to me.
After watching the Airships come and go, (as well as work on this massive text) I tried to feed the Chocobo again. She ate it all!!
I was rewarded with a Chocobo License for my efforts! =D
Thanks again to Shagrath, my Protector Puppeteer and Hanataru, the Red Mage escort. =^_^=
Here's a couple pictures of Sha-chan's visit to my house! =D
