Papers littered my table.
"Black Mage Training"
"Red Mage Training"
"Red Mage Gear"
"Red Mage Spells"
"Unfinished Quest Requests"
"Wedding Guest List"
"Windurst Missions"
Shoot... I was supposed to go speak with the Star Sibyl!!
I was so tired, though. I rested my forehead on the desk, rolling the quill absentmindedly with my left hand...
Kiki that is no place to rest you know, kupo!
Mmmm...
Adventuring got you down, master?
No... I just have so much to do. I don't know where to start!
You should probably not keep the Star Sibyl wating, Kupo.
Aye..
I looked over the mission papers I had, folded them up and went to Heaven's Tower.
Apparently there was a seal in Fei'Yin that might be losing its potency.
I sent word to Shagrath, seeking his aid.
Later on, he had a group gathered.
The group consisted of Shagrath, Big Brother Wolf, Mishi and Ghrenn.
I was not dressed for such a cold climate! The others were fine, but I shivered the entire way!
Eventually we had to face Archlich Taber'quoan and its skeleton minions!
At first, he didn't seem to pose much of a threat, but then all of a sudden it was as though there was no end to the minions!
I ended up running circles around the small arena until the others defeated Archlich.
By now I knew better then to try to sleep them, and even when I tried to gravity them, I kept getting hit. It was easier to just keep running!
Afterward, I gathered the burnt seal and took it to Star Sybil.
She told me that it was written in the stars that I was destined to journey to Castle Zvahl.
I would bear witness to the fate of our world.
Was I really ready for this?
I didn't have time to decide. Shagrath, Mishi, Ghrenn and Wolf were all waiting for me.
Back to the snow drifts for me.
There was a beautiful rainbow glow escaping from between the openings of snow and ice covered rock that made up the path to the castle.
It beckoned us as it glittered and danced.
How adverse such beauty was to what we would face inside.
The castle is a gathering place for all manner of beastmen.
There were one-eyed creatures, fat like a pear, that worked their small wings hard to stay in flight.
As well as demons that would gang up on us if we were detected.
I was so tired it took all my whits just to keep up with them.
The chill that invaded every part of my body made it all the worse.
Once inside the castle we had to take these teleport... platforms- I suppose they were?
Finally we made it to our destination... and faced a grave creature that called itself: Shadow Lord.
My reward for this adventure was Rank 6
(As well as a nice sum of gil, which I needed badly!)
