When I decided to get my paws on the teleport magic, I had no idea of the places I would have to go in order to obtain the scrolls!
The first place to explore was the Eldieme Necropolis and light Spirit Incense.
I was taken by one of the linkshell members to some of the possible spots this would be, but we never found it.
Then I was told there was another entrance to the Necropolis but one had to travel far. Through the perilous Beaucedine Glacier!
I had never been to the snowy region.
The linkshell members informed me that creatures lurked there that would bring fright to even the high level players.
They advised I consider something else.
Then Shagrath remembered there was another way to get to the entrance, be we had to go through a Maw!!!
Sha-chan NO!!!!!! Not again!!
Kia, come now. I'll be right beside you, and Wolf is coming with us. This will be much easier then traveling all the way to the other side of Beaucedine.
I agreed, as I was tired anyway.
We went and spoke to a little Mandragora, then returned to the present.
There was also a flower involved, but I tend to get very disoriented and dizzy when traveling through the Maw so do forgive me for my forgetfulness... {/blush}
In the present, I had to examine some swirling light and then it suddenly teleported me somewhere... Which just happened to be near the entrance we were looking for!
Once inside, we quickly found the place to set the incense.
"The spirit incense emits a putrid odor and burns up. Your attempt this time has failed."
Worried, I went back to Gantineux with news of my failuer. He gave ma a letter to take to Eperdur.
When I delivered the letter, Eperdur gave me the scroll!
Then he told me of a foul wind coming from Gusgen Mines and about a seal. Something that stopped the dead from walking!
My spine tingled with fright as he handed me a Seal of Banishing and told me to place it on a shack within the mines.
Luckily, Shagrath went with me.
What A Creepy Place!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We hadn't gone too far when I swore I saw a child on the steps we had just come down.
I turned and the child was gone! When I told Sha-chan what I thought I had seen we both took another look and sure enough... we saw what looked like a child hovering on the steps!!
I gasped and clutched at Sha-chan's arm. Then peered around cautiously as we walked toward one of the tunnels.
There were other... spirits hovering about as well...
The tiny hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
Had Sha-chan not been there with me, I surely would have been frozen with fright.
Thinking no one would believe me, I took some pictures while there. (Since Sha-chan was protecting me and all.)

I thought the name of the fly was interesting.

I wondered what horrors had happened here for these spirits... of what seemed to be children no less, to be trapped here.
Eventually we found the shack, and I put the seal in place. Was that even the right thing to do? Was that what kept these children here? Or was there some greater undead evil that I was helping to seal away?
When I returned to Eperdur, he rewarded me with the Scroll of Teleport-Holla.
For the last one, I had to speak to Virnage in Bastok.
He told me about a statue of the Goddess who's paint was peeling off. He wanted me to see if I could find some special paint that was left behind from the Great War. He suspected I would be able to find said paint in Garlaige Citadel.
I privately thanked the Goddess that I had not personally witnessed the horrors of this war.
When I set out on this task, I first asked the linkshell if anyone would join me. Shagrath was sleeping and I refused to wake him.
Eden told me that I should be able to solo it easily, so off I went.
I had only gone to the end of the first passage in the Citadel, where the first set of steps leads down to the inner bowels. Never farther, until now.
I wandered around until I found something strange in a hole in the ceiling, but I could not reach it!
I hoped it was not the paint and continued on, careful not to fall into the holes in the floor.
I could see undead and other things wandering around in what seemed to be some gigantic cave.
It seemed every turn I took was wrong, every strange spot was too high to reach... Worst of all, my sneak enchantment would start to fade when I entered rooms full of bats. Invisible would fade as I crossed paths with the beetles.
I was getting so frustrated!
Then out of no where, Sha-chan appeared.
I told him that I should be able to accomplish this task on my own.
He assured me that I could ask for his help any time and that just because someone many levels higher then me could solo the quest, that was not necessarily so.
I still felt inadequate, but I had to admit to myself that this had been frightful and lonely without him.
Shortly after he arrived, he found the paint for me.
I took it back to Virnage, who was delighted. Then he gave me a letter to deliver to Eperdur.
As a token of thanks, Eperdur gave me the scroll of dem.
Sadness of my inability to find the paint alone quickly evaporated, now I could use the "local" teleport magic!! =^_^=
