Needing a break from the excitement, I chose to try out Thief.
It's fun and I may go back to working on it. At least for the "Steal" Job Ability. I was using that on Mandragora for cotton!

Afterwords, I took a look at the conquest standings and saw that Windurst had control of the outpost in Kuzotz.
Which is in the Altepa Desert, as is Rabao...
Perhaps it was time to pay a visit to the town where I spent my childhood.
I had only just changed to Red Mage in preparation for the journey when Shagrath came to call.

Oh hi Shagrath. Well I was getting ready to take supplies to the outpost in Kuzotz.
Oh? I don't have that one yet.
Would you like to join me then?

Great! I'm almost ready. Where shall we meet?
Well, we will need to go to Bastok.
Okay, I will warp to Jeuno and take the airship.
Shagrath met me at the docks and we boarded the airship to Bastok.
Once there he led me into the Zeruhn Mines and then to Korroloka Tunnel.
At first it was kind of pretty. It looked as though it had been an ocean retreat in years past. Now, however, the only water around was a creek that we passed easily over.
The flora reminded me of seaweed and coral that had learned to thrive out of the water. Well, most of it.
There were some... plants that looked like something else.
I paused in my gait to look, shocked at what met my eyes.
Yes they looked like...

Umm... Yes, sorry! I was distracted by those... /point They umm... kind of... look like... a...uhh... body... part...
Oh? Oh... I see how they might look like that if you're in a certain mindset...
What?! No I wasn't... I mean I just.. well from afar they... I was shocked!! I thought.. where is Sha-chan taking me?!?
Haha! Okay.
I followed in silence after that, my face having turned crimson. My entire body was hot with embarrassment.
I wasn't thinking like that about him... or anyone for that matter!! I had just been taken aback by what I had seen!!
Eventually we emerged in the Altepa Desert and headed for the outpost, where we dropped off the supplies.
Then we made the trek to the teleport crystal. After that, we rented Chocobo's and rode to Rabao.
Are you glad to be home?
Well... It's been a while. This is not my home any longer.
Shagrath had some other things to attend to, I chose to stay in Rabao.
I went to sit with Cothric and watched Chamaja-Tamaja fish. Fishing...
I hopped up and went to visit one of the Nomad Moogles, who just happened to be Sarima's cousin!
I retrieved my fishing rod and bait from him and then stepped into the oasis in the middle of town, and quietly fished while I remembered...
Running around as a little cub. Scaling fish, administering herbs to wounded passerby.
Taking water out into the desert...
That fateful day I did not want to remember.
