Sha-chan had informed me that to do part of the New Year's event, we would need to ride the airship that goes to one of the 3 major nations from Jeuno.
This spurred me to want to do the Magicite Windurst mission!
However, I was on a side quest of my own after gaining level 17 on Black Mage: Scroll of Warp!
I had been trapped doing quests in Bastok for a few days. Each one I chose to attempt seemed to be more trouble then it was worth.
For example, there was one where if any other adventurer had done it within fifteen minutes I could not! How was I to know who had done the quest last?
Another involved hunting some undead wolves. Sha-chan and I did roam around North and South Gustaberg for many hours not seeing hide nor hair of the beasts.
I eventually happened on the fellow interested in collecting rusty buckets. With Sha-chans help, I hauled 10 or so buckets over.
After that I found a woman who needed Ingots.
Once I helped her a few times I was able to get the quest from the Galka in Metalworks. I gave him slime oil and he rewarded me with the coveted scroll!
I immediately warped to Jeuno to wait for Sha-chan so we could begin the Magicite quest.
We had to go meet with the Archduke and during the meeting, his little brother barged in. I wondered if a child should really be getting on about such matters but... Well who am I to talk! I may be an adult, but it is all together possible that the boy would know more then I of the goings on!
As we were leaving the audience chamber, Mawl'gofaur stopped me and gave me a letter to take to Aldo.
Something about his robes gave me a chill. It wasn't until we were nearly at the stairs leading down to Upper Jeuno that I remembered.
That fellow who stopped me... Something about him...
Oh?
Oh! He looked like the fellow who was messing around with that... With whatever it was I saw that one day when we went to Delkfutt's Tower! Remember?!
Well, there are others who dress in such a way.
Well yes, I saw the others in the chamber dressed similar... Even still he gives me the creeps!
Haha, well you will see once we begin CoP missions that there are many who dress in similar robes.
I can't wait! But let's stick to the task at hand for now!
We went to visit Aldo, where I met a young woman who had befriended a goblin!
I wouldn't call my self a hater of beastmen, but if they chase me then I will fight! It is unfortunate that the peaceful ones are in the minority.
Sha-chan and I made our way to Castle Oztroja.
I had to maintain the sneak and invisible enchantments the entire time inside.
On a couple occasions I had no where to re-cast and a bat did give chase, but Shagrath and his automation made quick work of it.
We ran into a little trouble when we found two Yagudo's guarding the brass door.
Fortunately there was a high-level Red Mage in the vicinity. I had to use my auto-translate skills to ask the Red Mage for help.
=^_^= He understood my request and came to slay the Yagudo for us!
We safely passed into the Alter room. The Magicite outcropping was an interesting sight. I've never seen such a thing! I did snap a few pictures which I will add later for all who enjoy my blog to see. =^_^=
