It seems truly impossible to get a steady six together!
The same four: Shagrath, Mishi, Ghrenn and myself met up in Jeuno.
We were going to face a creature in the Phomiuna Aqueducts, but we needed more then the four of us!
Shagrath asked around in Whitegate for aid. He got quick replies.
At first I took this as a good sign.
I was mistaken.
The first person, a Blue Mage seemed like a nice man.
However, his friend who was a Galka Dark Knight was the OPPOSITE.
While in Jeuno I repeated that we would need silent oil and antidotes for the battle that lay ahead.
Mishi, Sha-chan and Ghrenn all said they had the items. The Blue Mage did also.
The Dark Knight just stared at me as though I was speaking in foreign tongue and guffawed.
I rolled my eyes and made my way through Qufim island with the others.
As we were nearing Misareaux Coast, the Galka asked if it would be a problem if he had not faced the trials in promyvion.
I explained that it would be a problem, as he would not be able to find the way to Tavnazian Safehold.
His Blue Mage friend told me that the Galka was lying to be funny.
I don't see how that is humorous in any way.
We all arrived in the safehold, and were joined by an Elvaan Blue Mage, a Summoner and Hana-san.
Shortly after, while we were waiting inside the aqueducts, the Elvaan Blue Mage went and got himself knocked out...
I sighed... I would rather not do this at all, then have to deal with such fools.
But the people of Tavnazia needed us to address this foul creature... so plod on I must.
The Minotaur has an ability that will pull you to where it is, if someone you are grouped with stumbles upon it.
I volunteered to go, since I was able to use magic for re-raise and sneak enchantments.
However, Shagrath would not permit me to do so- Sighting all the other possible monsters that waited to pounce me on the way.
I didn't really want to argue with him, so I let him do as he pleased.
He wouldn't even let me join him. I would probably be a liability.
Instead I busied myself setting protection enchantments on the group, as well as blink and stoneskin on myself.
After a time, Shagrath discovered the Minotaur and in the blink of an eye--- it was right before me!
I quickly moved several paces away and turned my back to it so Mortal ray could not inflict me.
Something I had made the entire group aware of before we headed out.
Those that bothered to listen, that is.
Of course, the Galka died to mortal ray.
It was very important that we all get out of the immediate area after defeating it.
So once we did, I raced down the pathway and around a corner and cried for everyone to do the same.
They actually did and we continued on.
All the while, one of our linkshell members was beckoning my group to join her for a training party.
As if we didn't have enough distractions to begin with!
We made our way through the rest of the aqueducts.
Shagrath had told the group that he would let Lobo get the attention of the true-sight monsters.
That way, he could release Lobo and we would all be free and clear to run along.
His words were NOT heeded by everyone.
The rest would just start fighting, fight two at once or simply cop a squat right where the Tarus would return to!
It was probably one of the more frustrating outings I had been a part of in my young adventuring career.
No matter how rude or ill prepared some of the group members were, I still did not wish to see any of them fall in battle!
Yet they insisted on putting themselves in harms way.
I nearly used my warp spell just to get away from them all.
And to end the incessant harping of the linkshell member who wanted Hana, Ghrenn and Sha-chan for training.
Even when we explained we were having a hard time with the extra members co-operating, it continued.
It was Mishi who grabbed my hand and stood against a wall with me.
She spoke softly, but her words never missed my ears.
As we whispered, Shagrath appeared.
He beckoned me to go through the door Mishi and I were standing beside.
Sha- I don't care. I don't care anymore. We defeated the creature they asked us to defeat. I'm tired.
Tired of ill-prepared fools.
Tired of ill-will.
Kia... please, just through this door. Come with me, okay?
I scowled.
Mishi squeezed my hand and we followed Shagrath.
The rest was a blur.
Once back at Tavnazian Safehold, I told Justinius of what we had done.
Then I met Prishe as she returned from some outing or the other.
What a foul mouth this child has!
She bid me to meet her in her chambers later on.
I would, but first some much needed rest!
