Finally! Red Mage is level 30! I was very excited, for now I had learned just enough to have available to me "advanced" jobs.
The only problem was... which one?
Sha-chan is Puppetmaster, kupo! Give that a try Kiki.
No, while it suits him very well I have no desire to command a doll. Besides, Sha-chan strongly suggested I try to train White Mage for Promyvion.
Kupie!! Of course you will do what he asks. I saw the picture of Master Sha-chan in the subligar!
Ahhh! Ehehe... Well his brother loaned it to him and said it was good gear. I can't help it if it shows off his well muscled legs... Anyway, I was taking pictures of everyone, Sarima!
I could feel my cheeks betraying me as they turned a shade of rose.
I shrugged on a tunic and left Sarima to her giggling. I was going to train White Mage. Maybe it was because Shagrath had suggested it, but I had said I wanted to learn all the teleport magic.
Besides, I was eager to shed the over-sized linen robe and slops I had been wearing.
I remember my estranged Uncle informing me that once I had trained sufficiently, he would send me the Seer's set given to him by my Father.
I was eager to do this, not so much for the gear upgrade, but to have something that must have belonged to one of my parents.
I hoped I was doing them proud.
I headed out to Tahrongi Canyon for solo training, which was going slow... However, with some patience I managed to gain level 25 and learned a new spell. {Raise}
I typically spend a lot of time with Sha-chan and subsequently have not gotten to know many of my linkshell members as well as I would like.
So I was really glad when Eden offered to team up with me for some more training.
He met me in Jugner Forest as his Blue Mage. It was rather exciting to watch him wield the different spells.
I was inspired to one day attempt it.
Then foolishness reared it's evil head!
We had signed up for a harder page in the training book and I was distracted by something one of the linkshell members was saying.
I cast {Dia} on a Leech as Eden was pulling my intended target: Jugner Funguar.
Of course the leech was near two of its buddies. So all three began their assault on me.
I thought to sleep the extra but then remembered: Not Red Mage, idiot!
Eden put up a good fight. He is so brave! But in the end neither of us had enough mana or endurance to take on the four forest creatures.
My one and only saving grace was that I had the forethought to have a re-raise enchantment placed upon me before we began.
I got up and after waiting until I had enough mana-

We continued training and even changed locations to fight even harder creatures. After a while Eden and I were invited to join a party just outside of Kazham. We trained for quite some time and eventually /*\ +Level up! 29+ /*\
It was shortly after that when everyone just started taking off.
Sha-chan came to my rescue again, offering to team up with me.
We headed for Sauromugue Champaign and fought Lizards and Beetles until Azrael beckoned him to join her for something called BCNM.
Shagrath did stay to finish out the manual page we had started. I was a little worried I would not achieve level 30 before he left me to my own devices.
Luckily, with the extra experience from fields of valor /*\ +Level up! 30+ /*\
Whoo! I was finally ready for this Promyvion thing they had all been going on about.
Fatigued from the day's events, I stayed the night in Jeuno.
I awoke at dawn to terrible stomach pain and crept to the infirmary seeking some sort of aid.
As I finished drinking the herbal concoction Monberaux gave me, that strange pale boy (that I had first seen in a vision at Delkfutt's Tower) approached me seemingly out of no where.
I nearly choked I was so shocked. He held out his hand to show me a glowing cobalt amulet. His eyes matched it and also began to glow.
I could do nothing but stare and then, he gave me a vision.
As if flying, a strange place unfolded before me.
Everything was shades of eerie pastel. It looked as though there had been a flood, and then the place had frozen in time.
Then I saw-- was it a building? It was ivory in color and reminded me of the cerment structures I had been seeing around Vana'diel. A ramp led up to what appeared to be an entrance, guarded by a magical veil that reminded me of the one I had encountered on the way to the Monastic Cavern.
With that the vision abruptly ended. Before I could ask the boy anything, the Ducal Guards burst in demanding to speak to him.
Somehow, he managed to evade them and disappear into the streets.
Somehow, he managed to slip the amulet into my hands.
Fearful, I stuffed it deep into my pocket.
What in Altana's name was going on..?
