I sighed. This Aht Urhgan did not beckon me like so many others.
However, the prospect of a long and leisurely boat ride with Sha-chan seemed nice and relaxing.
So I met Sha-chan in the port town of Mhaura.
Two ships called there. One that went to Selbina, and one that went to Al Zahbi.
Ghrenn asked what we were doing... She wants to come.
Oh? I thought she had already been there.

The two then began chatting about Whitegate and the surrounding areas, enemies, quests, missions... Things I knew nothing of.
I began to wish that I had remembered my fishing pole.
Since I had not, I busied myself studying the water as it splashed against the dock.
Finally the boat arrived and I took a seat next to some cargo as the crew readied to set off again.
Shagrath and Ghrenn continued chatting while I ran clothcraft supplies through my head.
The ship set sail and the pair ran up to the deck. I stayed below for a while, relaxing.
I could hear a minor battle up above. I supposed some creature had climbed up on deck.
Ghrenn called for me to join them, but I wanted to relax, not fight.
When things quieted down, I crept up the stairs and roamed around looking for a nice place to sit and wait for our arrival.
I saw some birds fly past, and then out of the corner of my eye I spied the backside of an enormous serpent!
Oh my Goddess! Did you SEE THAT?!
I did!!
No, what did you see Kia?
I-- I'm not sure. I hope it won't attack us. It was huge!
I saw it! I saw it!! Look there!
Sure enough, I saw the roll of the blue scales.
I raced toward the stern of the boat to try to get a better look, but by the time I got there the creature had retreated back into unknown depths.
At least it didn't attack us.
Finally we reached Aht Urhgan.
Immediately I didn't like it.
The place is LOUD!
The sounds and smells and screaming were overloading my senses!
I took a step backwards, into poor Sha-chan who had been waiting patiently behind me. Waiting to take me around town.
Ghrenn had scampered off to a nearby vendor and was waving her arms wildly for me to join her.

I didn't want to stay long enough to need a map.

I covered my ears as I walked over to Ghrenn and muttered to Shagrath.

That was a mistake. A HUGE MISTAKE!
The first thing she asked was if I had come to join the Sentinels.
I explained to her that I was NOT there for that... That this was my first and probably last visit for a very long time.
She totally ignored me and insisted I was LYING!!
No matter what I said, or how many times I said it, she kept calling me a liar until I agreed to sign up.
Then she gave some package to take out somewhere. I paid her instructions no mind and stalked out of her den.
By now I had a severe headache. The giant canisters of incense she had burning in there were making me ill.
Sha-chan suggested we take a walk outside.
I agreed but when we got outside, all I wanted to do was lay down.
All the smells and shouting... my head was POUNDING.
And all I had wanted for the evening was a nice, quiet, relaxing boat ride. ; ;
