The spirit of giving has really possessed Sha-chan and his brother!
After we traveled to Bastok to bring joy to the citizens there, we headed back to Windurst where he invited me into his mog house to see his festive decorations.
I met him outside first, where he gave me a Pilgrim's Tunic and a beautiful red Mohbwa Sash.
These are for you, from my brother.
Oh!! Thank him for me!! I love red!! Oh! And some other adventurers suggested I get this very tunic!
I will tell him! Now come on inside.
Okay!!
He had three beautiful trees set up!
Oh! How wonderful! And you have the matching city item with each one! Cute!
I'm glad you like them, because they are yours!
What?!
Well you will get a Dream Hat +1 if you put a tree in your house. So I want to give these to you. You can choose one now, and I will give you the other two once I get my hat.
No... You already gave me a gift.
I insist! Besides, who gives but one gift? I think maybe seven, or even twenty!! There are yet gifts to be given, Kiamo.
Sha-chan... I haven't a thing for you.
I wanted to cry... He had done so much for me already and I had no idea what I could give or do for him.
What could I do for him that he can't do on his own? Nothing.
What can I give him that he can not get for him self? Nothing.
You don't have to give me anything.
But... but I want to!!! {/angry motion}
You have given me the gift of your time, doing starlight quests with me. Time is the greatest gift anyone can give and it's the most unique and special gift of them all.
I gasped... I couldn't help it. Fat tears threatened to cloud my vision and slip down my cheeks.
All words escaped me as my breath caught in my chest.
My hands clutched to my breast instinctively, forgetting to keep hold of the Dream Bell+1. It fell to the floor with a satisfying tink.
I turned to Shagrath and burried my face in his Dream Robe, hugging him as tight as could.
That... that's one of the nicest things ever said to me, Sha-chan...
I stepped back, absentmindedly touching a finger to my cheek as I watched Sha-chan bend to retrieve my forgotten bell.
Once you choose a tree, we can go bring joy to the children of Windurst some more. If you want. Or we can stay here, whatever you want to do.
I gazed at the twinkling trees before me. A stout little bush that was so simple and cute I wanted to hug it! A tall and noble looking pine tree and a delicate white and blue creation.
I like the blue one, but... Sha-chan please at least keep one tree as a token of our Starlight Adventures!
Oh come now, Kiamo! I will have none of that.
{/angry} If you do not keep one then I will go buy my own and take none of them!
Okay! Okay, I concede... I will keep one, but then you must pick two tonight!
I pointed out the delicate white and blue one and the lovely little bush.
Sha-chan brought them over to my room and I placed one near my folding-screen and the other in the corner, opposite the foot of my bed.
Then we set off to gift the children with fireworks and other goodies.
We were poking around by the hostel when I noticed a really beautiful water lily stretching up higher then the rest. As I approached, it began to glow the most beautiful color and orbs of light drifted lazily away from the tightly closed petals.
Oh my goodness... Sha-chan look at this...
Wow, I've been through here countless times and never saw this before...
We stood there taking in the lily's quiet beauty for quite some time.
I wish I could have that in my house.
Kia, it would die! It's a water lily.
I have water in my house! But I don't mean this exact plant. I mean something like it, something that could glow like that would be wonderful to have inside.
Hmmm... Meet me over by the residential area.
Odd...
I followed his direction and waited outside. Moments later Sha-chan emerged with the company of another hume man who had short dark hair. He was wearing a beautiful blue Onoko Yukata as well as a Dream Hat.
The young man handed me a Bonbori and a Set of Festival Dolls. He then played a majestic tune on his harp. I did a little waltz in thanks for the gifts.
Then the hume disappeared into the back allies of the residential area.
May I put these away before we continue, Sha-chan?
Of course!
I first placed the Bonbori next to the flower pot I had, which was beneath the window.
It was more amazing then I could have imagined! The paper lantern glowed shades of green, to yellow as the blossom pattern turned.
Oh!! Sha-chan!! This Bonbori... it is magnificent! I love it!!!
Good! I am glad!
Next I placed the Festive Doll set beside the Windurstian tree. It looked like a little doll family. Mother and father placed on the higher step, and three children below. Flanking the family were two aurous flowers that emitted petite orbs of yellow light from their open petals.
Both items unique, yet very much similar to the lily in the pond.
