The Star Dance

Dec 24, 2008

Over the past few days, I have been training my three mage jobs.
I re-visited Valkrum Dunes on Black Mage and actually had a pretty good time!
Another day, Sha-chan and I teamed up to work on my White Mage. I really want to be able to learn all the teleport spells! That would expand my ability to adventure, plus if Sha-chan ever needs to get somewhere I will be able to assist! :D

One night, Shagrath's brother offered to help with Windurst Mission 3-3.
Before we could go do that, Sha-chan and I had to pay a visit to Kupipi in Heaven's Tower.
I had never gone up to the highest floor before. We had to walk across a floating platform that was positioned over what looked like the night sky!
It was so beautiful, I could have stood there and stared down into the dancing abyss for hours!
Sha-chan reminded me what we were there for and I broke my gaze away to speak to Rhy Epocan.
I won't go into any more detail so as not to ruin it for anyone who has not done this mission except to say, get up to Heaven's tower! Amazing sights!

Sha-chan's brother, Wolf, took both of us through Delkfutt's Tower for mission 3-3.
It felt to me as if we were just going around and around and up and down so many steps...
I was also met with a vision when we first arrived! Some very pale hooded figure was messing with some strange controls!
Then there was an explosion and... oh my goddess a very big Wyrm who called himself Bahamut, ruler of the skies!! He said he had come to deliver me a warning... That the arrival of the keeper of the Apocalypse was near! I was petrified and whispered to Sha-chan of what I witnessed. He calmly told me not to worry and that we must, for the time being, stick to the task at hand. I still can not shake the image of Bahamut from my mind...

However, after a night of running through all of Delkfutt's Tower and then to Jeuno: Rank 4! :D

When I returned home from the excitement, Sarima had a warning for me as well.
It was much less grave. She was feeling homesick and wanted to go visit mama and papa with gifts. She begged me to fetch for her a Beetle Ring and a Power Bow. The latter for her papa to compete in some festival contest.
How could I not oblige her!
I headed out and found the gifts and gave them to her before going to meet Sha-chan for an evening of training.

I stayed the night in Jeuno, not knowing when Sarima would return.
I wasn't able to seep too well. I was still at a loss as to what to give Shagrath for Starlight... My dreams were filled with dancing Automation's pointing and laughing!

The next morning, I went back to Windurst, filled with worry.

"I'm home Kupo!"

"Oh Sarima! Did you have a nice visit?"

"Kupioe! I did, master and I even brought you a present! A new safe! This holds ten items! Maybe ten things for Shagrath for Starlight!"

"Thank you, Sarima... but I haven't anything for Sha-chan. I don't have a clue what to give him."

"Kup-ohh... I'm sorry Kiki-chan. Did you ask his friends?"

I shook my head in dismay.

"They suggest odd things, one of which was 'Marry him'. Clearly they were teasing me... {/sigh} I need ideas!"

"What does he like to eat? Adventurers always need food to keep them going! How about a hobby, kupo? You spend days on days with him, you have to know these things about him Kiamo... or are you just staring at his Subligar and--"

"Sarima!!!!! YES!!"

I hugged her, despite her gibe, and began hunting through Windurst in search of food and drink I had seen Sha-chan consume before.
