I woke up to Sarima flicking water at me.
"KIAMO!! Wake up!!!!"
"Wha-- Sarima, I'm tired! Shagrath and I were out training in Jugner Forest last night."
I pulled up the afghan to hide my face from the cold droplet assault.
"Kupo! Get up please, master!! You can sleep after Starlight Celebration!"
"What are you talking about?" (Curiosity always gets the cat!)
"The time has come! The celebration has begun! Kupo!! Look!!"
Sarima handed me a very long piece of parchment.
"Voice of the Stars". It was an article written by Payuh Milmorah. An apparent aspiring journalist. I was much too sleepy to be reading, but I skimmed the text anyway as I dressed and continued reading as I strolled outside, keen to sell off the Beetle Jaw's and shells I had obtained the night before while training.
I walked toward the shop in Windurst Walls, still reading, and as I came around the corner- what a sight!
The palm branches had gilded framework that coiled around in a pretty swirl. Ribbons of crimson and green were draped from crown to bough. Gleaming gold trinkets hung, twinkling as if magicked.
What a beautiful display of merriment!
The gaiety all about me caused me to forget what I originally had planned for the day!
(Which was to tell you all about Rank 3, obtaining my airship pass to Kazham, getting a Tenshodo Invitation and my level up *23* AND the crafting spree I went on all thanks to Sha-chan and his brother Wolf. Clothcraft is 8 now!
My paws.. they bleed from all the synthing! lol)
Now I was awake! I hurriedly sold off the extra items in my bag and ambled around town in search of the Moogle in charge of the event.
I saw a crowd of adventurer's and headed that way. Sure enough, a Moogle was in the middle of the group.
I spoke to him and was handed four gifts and asked to give them to, Honoi-Gomoi, Kayeel-Payeel, Kenapa-Keppa and Angelica in Windurst Waters.
As a thank you, when I finished delivering the gifts, Moogle gave me a Dream Coffer and a Snow-Themed Gift Token. I traded that in for a pair of Dream Boots.
Next I went to Windurst Woods and was given a Cassiopeia Card and told to find a male hume to give that to.
It was at this point that I wished Sha-chan was about. However, I realized this might be another opportunity to try out my translation skills.
"{Hello!} {Cassiopeia Card} {trade} {hume} {man} {Please Assist!}"
A dark-haired hume fellow nearby waved at me and offered to trade. What a kind stranger! =D
After speaking with Moogle, he handed me a Perseus Card. I smiled as I bowed to him in thanks, then handed over the card to Moogle.
I was then rewarded with a Star-Themed Gift Token! I traded that in for a Dream Bell.
I ran back to my house to show Sarima the new trinkets, as well as change into my new shoes!
That's when Sha-chan came to call!
I excitedly told him of my mini-adventure and he offered to join me.
I met him by the vendor moogles and blushed a fierce shade of red as Sha-chan handed me a Dream Hat.
(Those cost 10,000 Gil!!!)
I can't take this! It's too much!
Oh come on now. It's a starlight festival gift. Please take it, in the spirit of giving.
How could I really protest that? I took off my Brass Hairpin and shoved it in my pocket, then settled the velvet red hat on top of my head. Pausing a moment to fiddle with the cute pom-pom.
I should wear this next time I have to go to Qufim Island, it would keep my ears warm!
Now with matching hats, we spoke to moogle again to deliver more gifts. This time I was rewarded with a Candy Cane and some kind of CAKE! =D
I ran the cake back to Sarima and then skipped off to meet Sha-chan by Atagei-Portagei so we could become Smilebringers!
I couldn't resist having a lick of my Candy Cane on the way! Yum!
The Tarutaru handed each of us a kiddie present. I gave mine to a very tiny taru boy, Sha-chan gave his to a little girl.
When we returned to Atagei-Portagei he offered to teleport us to one of the other two nations so we could bring good cheer to the children there.
With a woosh we were wisked away to San d'Oria.
While there, we delivered gifts and then went outside in search of Astral Boxes!
I chose to beat on the boxes with my dream bell and was delighted at the ding-aring-ling sound it made!
One of the boxes contained a Dream Robe! Since Sha-chan had one already, he insisted I take that one.
I was also awarded a Bell-Themed Gift Token.
What fun!!! =D
Merry Starlight!! Goddess Bless!! =^_^=
