Aldo's Letter

Draylo and I were able to enlist Aldo’s services to find Wolf.  I told Aldo, if it was good news, I wanted lots of details.  If bad, I wasn’t sure I wanted to know at all.  He promised to contact us in a few weeks.

I also went to see doctor Monberaux… 
The next morning he delivered some shocking news to me.
At least I learned that I wasn’t depressed…
When I tried to find Ghrenn to relay the information, she was no where to be found.

------------4 weeks later------------

Kup-oh Kiamo!  I have a letter from Aldo for you.

I almost forgot about that, what does it say, Sarima? 

I didn’t open it…  It’s addressed to you, silly. 

I took the letter from my moogle’s paw, opened it slowly and scanned the contents. 

Kiamo Ko, 

It is with great regret that I must pen this note to you.  I am sending word to your friend Draylo as well, so you needn’t deliver this news to him yourself.
Per your request, I sought information of the whereabouts of your brother-in-law, Wolfknight.
The news I received back is indeed grim.  I am afraid I must inform you that he has, in fact, passed on.
I recall that you requested details only if the news was pleasant.  Since this is dire, I shan't include any thing else save my deepest condolences.  May Altana walk with you all of your days.
If you happen to change your mind, feel free to meet with me in Jeuno and I will divulge everything I have learned to you.

I choked and crumpled the letter.  All the blood drained from my head.  The room began to spin.  I reached out to grab for anything and managed to knock a flowerpot to the floor.  It shattered and sent bits of dirt and dried flowers across the floor.

Kiki?

Grasping the table where the flower pot had been did manage to slow my fall to the floor. 

Kiamo!  What was in that letter?!

Sarrrima… It’s Wolf…  He--  He--

I could only point a shaking finger toward the ball of paper on the floor.

Sarima carefully smoothed out the letter and read it.  Solemnly shaking her head she fluttered over to me.

I should have kup-read it first…

And what..?  Not told me?

Kup-waited…  In your condition…

At least now I know…

Shal I fetch Draylo..?

No…  If Aldo sent him the details, I would prefer to be spared of them.  That I do not want to know.
