Heaven's Tower

Dec 17, 2008

Master Shagrath's house was more bare then mine!
I don't know how he manages to stay so well refreshed and rrrready for any adventure without the comfort of a nice cozy bed!

He gave me several crystals and I begrudgingly handed them over to the guard.
I would have rather put those Wind crystals to better use weaving grass thread out of Yagudo Bead Necklace's!

I accepted the next mission, The Three Kingdoms, and we headed for Heaven's Tower.
I had never been so close to the big tree in Windurst Walls, it certainly is magnificent!
To get into it, there is a glowing vortex type pad outside. I watched Sha-chan step onto it and disappear! I was a little reluctant, but followed suit.

What a strange way to get in...

Well, heh, what do you expect from a place called Heaven's Tower?

True, I suppose...

We spoke to Kupipi and she handed me a Letter to the consuls. We were go visit the other two nations, San d'Oria and Bastok.
I wasn't sure my training was sufficient for the task that laid ahead.
What if we failed? Would all be lost? How do they put such trust in us?

Sha-chan then led me down a circular stairway inside the tower. I could hear water and expected cool air to greet us since we seemed to be heading underground. Instead, there was a brilliant golden glow emitting from the center of the ceiling! It did indeed look like heaven was smiling down on the little trees that were growing beneath it.
I took a closer look, and saw giant acorns growing in a tight cluster in the branches of the little trees. There were also Tarutaru attending newly budding seedlings. It sort of felt like a nursery.

I noticed Sha-chan standing very near to the edge of the steps that led to the area I was exploring. I couldn't help but run up behind him and give him a "gentile" shove. I didn't really push him that hard, but it was enough! He slipped down into the sallow water!

Hey!

Ops! Heehe. I couldn't rrresist!

Well, I was about to fall asleep, but now I'm a little more awake.

Oh, I'm sorry. /sulk Come to think of it, I could use a good rest as well.

Yeah, we can finish this mission tomorrow, okay?

Okay! I'm excited! And I finally get to meet your brother!

Yes, yes you will.

~

I barely got any sleep that night. I was a little worried about the fight and the journey to the other Nations. What if they didn't take kindly to us?
I had seen a picture of what we were to fight, they looked like some kind of demons!
Altana protect us!

I roused my self fairly early the next morning. I wanted to get a little bit of training in before we headed out.
I didn't know when Sha-chan would come calling, so I had the Tarutaru outside of the Residential Area teleport me to Buburimu Peninsula.
Once there, I decided to do an exercise from the field manual. Apparently several other adventurers had a similar idea. I had to wander pretty far from the Outpost to find any Sylvestre. Of course, a Goblin found me as I was making my way back. I was in no mood for such shenanigans!

Paralize! Blind! Dia!!

Ohuff. It hit me back pretty hard anyway. I was lower on mana then I like to be when facing off with a Goblin and my health wasn't exactly full either after Sylvestre slaying.

*BIND!!*
The Goblin Tinkerer is bound

Yes!!! With that, I tore off toward Tharongi Canyon. I barely made it, because that darn Tinkerer must have told his buddies to be on the look out for a fleeing Mithra. While I was running one of his brothers also gave chase. Luckily, I made it to the Canyon, where they were not able to follow me.

I don't know what possessed me to do what I did next.
I went back to Buburimu. I spied a Zu.

Blaze Spikes!!

It checked "decent challenge".

Paralize! Dia! Blind!

With a very angry squalk the Zu came flying toward me. Each time it tried to peck me, it got a face full of fire!
Man Blaze spikes is cool!

Fire!!! Aero!!

Mana was getting low and so was my health, in fact the Zu seemed to have more health then I did at that point.
I didn't really want to give up and I did have an Ether on me that I obtained from one of the treasure boxes.

*BIND!!!*
The Zu is bound.

Yesss!!! I ran off several paces and crouched behind a rock. The Zu squalked angrily, wanting to give chase.
I grinned to myself a little as I drank down the ether.
Just then the Zu broke free from my spell. I was ready.

Aero!!! Fire!! Water!! Bio!!
Burning Blade!!

I was bushed, but the Zu still had fight left in it. Maybe this had been a bad idea... I really needed to rest.

*BIND!!!*
The Zu is bound.

Woooo!! Yessss!! I scampered off again, much further this time, crouched and waited.
As the Zu made its approach, I unloaded a flurry of spells on it. It did manage to knock me back into the nearby wall really hard with Helldive. But I answered that assault with my sword and soon after, the Zu gave a final squalk as it fell!

Level Up! *22*

I was feeling a little better about facing "the dragon" now!
